First Megapatch for Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone Has Been Released

The Farm 51 announced that Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone has reached its first major development milestone. The open-world RPG has released a long-awaited Megapatch. This is the biggest and most comprehensive update since the game was released in Early Access.

The game was launched in Early Access on March 6. Since then the game has continued to evolve especially with the help of feedback from the community. In celebration of this new milestone, the game is being offered at 15% off on Steam until April 30.

In a statement, the studio revealed that the update represents not just the technical progress of the game but also their commitment when it comes to "shaping the game with the community." The studio went on to say that they're truly grateful for the positive response they've received from the players.

The Megapatch introduces new mechanics, new bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements. All of these are meant to significantly improve the experience not only for returning fans but also new explorers. New features include blaster with customization options and two new essence-based weapons. Players should be happy to know that stealth attacks are now possible with ranged weapons.

That said, changes resulting from community request include:

• The tablet is now usable in TPP.

• Seamless camera switching between FPP and TPP.

• Weapon slots are now fully customizable.

• Option to disable headbobbing.

• Loot system overhaul.

• Complete revamp of the first boss fight.

• You can now skip the whole intro.
